UIC Purchasing currently offers classroom-based and on demand options for your department’s iBuy training needs.
For new employees or those just wishing for a refresher course, we offer iBuy Starter Training. This classroom-based course provides a hands-on introduction and general overview to the iBuy application, covering topics that include:
- Navigating iBuy
- Managing your profile, including shipping information
- How to use shopping carts
- Utilizing search methods
- Using the Hosted Catalogs, Punch Out Catalogs and University Forms
- FOAPAL entry
- The Requisition and Approval process.

For those employees who have already taken iBuy Starter Training, we also offer training opportunities outside of the classroom environment. Taking place at the employee’s desk, On Demand training gives the employee the opportunity to learn how to put the application to use in their daily tasks.
